The term “Psychological Safety” is everywhere these days. Time and time again, psychological safety is identified as a vital factor for both team performance and individual wellbeing. It brings direct benefits to the bottom line, employee recruitment and retention, and resilience at both organizational and individual levels. But what does psychological safety really mean? How can we take steps to increase it in our environment? If we’re already “nice” to each other at work; why should we think about psychological safety? What happens if we don’t?
From this interactive workshop, participants will take away:
- A deeper understanding of psychological safety and the different forms it takes
- Awareness of how our brains react in unsafe environments
- More confidence in reading behaviours that influence team psychological safety
- Tools to raise these conversations at work
- A repertoire of actions and behaviours that support psychological safety
