The Vertical Growth program is a comprehensive blended learning experience designed to cultivate a values-based, growth-oriented culture. It consists of 6 live facilitation sessions strategically paired with 6 self-paced digital modules. Leaders can also receive training to deliver this program across all organizational levels with the Team Development program, to develop a cohesive, values-based culture from top to bottom.
Transformational Leadership Development
Beyond “knowing” and “doing,” the Vertical Growth program teaches the art of being, helping leaders center on values, self-awareness, self-regulation, and compassion. Created by best-selling author Michael Bunting and co-author Carl Lemieux, this program encourages leaders to embody qualities like integrity, vision, discipline, and genuine care for others.
Program Duration
The program is designed to be completed over 6-9 months, with a minimum of 40 hours of participation.
Program Structure
The Vertical Growth program is a blended learning experience comprised of 6 core modules, complemented by a dedicated kick-off session and program conclusion. This structure is designed to cultivate a values-based, growth mindset culture and develop effective leadership through a combination of live facilitation and self-paced learning.
- Kick-off: This introductory session covers program logistics, launches the 360 assessment process, and provides an overview of the Awakened Mind app, setting the stage for the learning journey.
- Module 1: Establishes the rationale for a values-based, growth mindset culture and guides leaders and teams to assess their current state and aspirations.
- Module 2: Details the process for refining, developing, and benchmarking standards for values-based leadership and behavior, incorporating Adult Growth Theory.
- Module 3: Presents specific, research-backed practices for leaders and team members to rapidly align with values and develop core self-awareness.
- Module 4: Enables participants to identify specific behaviors that hinder growth, erode trust and credibility, and diminish psychological safety.
- Module 5: Explores immunity to change theory and practice, prompting participants to examine unconscious beliefs and assumptions limiting their and the culture’s potential.
- Module 6: Outlines the principles and practices for cultivating self-awareness to foster a sustainable adult growth path and a growth mindset culture.
End of Program: This concluding session involves final check-ins, a review of the OBP matrix, and defines next steps for continued growth and practical application of acquired learnings.
Program Format
The program alternates between digital self-paced modules, workbook activities, interactive facilitator-led meetings and optional offsites:
- 6 Live Facilitation Sessions: Interactive sessions designed to deepen understanding and facilitate application of the module content.
- 6 Self-Paced Digital Modules: Complementary online resources for individual learning and reinforcement of key concepts.
- Group Review Meetings: Digital or in-person sessions held approximately two weeks after each module to debrief, align, and translate learning into actionable steps.
- Ongoing Support with the Awakened Mind App: To reinforce the skills learned, participants receive premium access to the Awakened Mind app, featuring mindfulness training and meditations, sleep tools, stress resilience techniques, and neuroscience-based learning resources. This self-paced, mobile-friendly app supports ongoing growth and well-being and can also be delivered through ambassador or consultant supported strategies.
