The term “Psychological Safety” is everywhere these days. Time and time again, psychological safety is identified as a vital factor for both team performance and individual wellbeing. It brings direct benefits to the bottom line, employee recruitment and retention, and resilience at both organizational and individual levels.
But what does psychological safety really mean? How can we take steps to increase it in our environment? If we’re already “nice” to each other at work; why should we think about psychological safety? What happens if we don’t?
In this workshop we will:
– Clarify the critical influence of psychological safety on team outcomes
– Recognize what psychological safety (and conversely, the lack of it) looks like in practice
– Develop knowledge and a repertoire of actions and behaviours that support psychological safety
