In the last few years, there has been increasing interest in mindfulness and meditation in organizations. The feedback we are receiving from some of our clients however is that consistently taking a small chunk out of the day to meditate is often hard to get into the habit of. The objective of mindfulness meditation is not necessarily the practice itself, but rather, to engage in a journey towards stabilizing the busy and reactive mind. This stabilization allows us to navigate life in a more deliberate and calm manner, which is scientifically proven to increase a number of outcomes, including effective decision making and overall well-being.
This workshop is meant to introduce you to a new tool for stabilizing the mind: breathwork.
The breath is the most ancient and powerful tool for self awareness, intentional responding, gaining energy, calming the nervous system, and much more. Some of the answers to life’s most perplexing challenges are literally, right under the nose.
Breathing techniques have been successfully introduced in multiple organizations and are a perfect complement to mainstream mindfulness practices.
In this month’s breakfast and learn, we will be exploring the following questions:
Using the breath, how can we slow down to experience the richness of life more deeply?
Using the breath, how can we cultivate more helpful qualities like patience, confidence and concentration?
Using the breath, how can we cultivate a greater sense of flow with life?
